But ok no, i will help… There are four different ways to approach Kythera island. The first is through the port of Piraeus. On one hand it is in Athens so it is closer but on the other the trip lasts around seven hours which can be pretty tiring! Second option, from Neapoli Lakonias (my personal favourite due to the road trip). You have to drive from Athens, around 4.5 hours and then you take the boat and in 1.5 you have reached your destination. Third way from Gytheio, a lot similar to the second one. Last but not least by plane! The island is connected to almost anywhere with the new renovated airport. From Athens the flight lasts only 40 minutes!
